20:45 The year 2011 is coming to an end and Travelers
all over the World are already traveling for Xmas or are planning to
visit various tourist places around the World to celebrate the turning
of the final leaf of the Calendar for this year. We at AroundDelhi.com
mainly promote tourist destinations around Delhi in North India in the
states of Haryana, Uttaranchal, Himachal and Rajasthan and will like to
share with our readers the trend emerging out of this year's bookings
for packages for Xmas and New Year so far. The trend indicated is purely
based on the calls received for Xmas and New Year in the last month or
so and the bookings completed.
1. The enquires for New Year started quiet early this
year from Delhi and other states compared to previous years.
2. The maximum queries were for
New Year weekend,
while Xmas weekend turned out to be quiet a wash out with hardly any
queries or bookings.
3. New Year bookings are still going strong and in
fact have picked up quiet a bit starting this week.
4. The average rooms booked per booking is 2.8,
indicating that most travellers tend to travel with friends or families
rather than alone.
5. The maximum queries are for one night packages
close to Delhi at resorts around Delhi.
6. In Hill stations the biggest crowd pullers are
Manali, obviously because of snow fall and people looking forward to see
some snow. The next in line are hotels and resorts in around Shimla.
Some of the resorts and hotels in
Manali and
Shimla are already showing
sold out placards.
7. Another big draw are the
resorts at Corbett with
the attraction of the Jungle, wild life, river and beautiful resorts.
Although this time many resorts in Corbett still have rooms as the total
number of resorts in Corbett have gone up substantially.
8. Rajasthan is also a big draw with the tourists with
destinations like Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur and Mount Abu in great
demand.
9. Fog in north India is playing a big role as a
deciding factor as people are preferring not to drive too far from home.
So if you have still not booked there is still time
and options available to choose and book.
