CHOKHI DHANI |
C hokhi Dhani is an ethnic 5 star village resort near Jaipur. The resort situated around Jaipur is spread over 10 acres and dotted with machaans and platforms where folk artists can put up their performances. It is a great mixture of traditional and modern architecture giving it's guests all the modern day comforts, but at the same time mixing the traditional Rajasthani flavour to it. The Chokhi Dhani represents a typical Rajasthani village with it's rustic environment and the cottages have been decorated with local decor, furniture and tapestry. The guests are welcomed by the Arti and tika as they enter the resort through the Bulund darwaza and are greeted by the Ganesh Temple. As you enter the lobby at Chokhi Dhani you feel have been transported to a remote village in Rajasthan with mud plastered walls with Rajasthani paintings and murals, bamboo net ceiling and bamboo furniture and rural artifacts and colourful trinkets adorning the place.
The accommodation is in cottages again having mud plastered walls and traditional decor. The cottages are airconditioned with modern facilities like Cable TV, Mini bar Tea/coffee maker and an attached English toilet. Haveli suites are also available. There is also a swimming pool, a restaurant with Indian, Continental & Chinese cuisine, an open air restaurant, a bar and live gazal performances in the evening. Conference facilities are available for up to 150 people. For recreation there is also billiards, carrom, TT and health club with steam, sauna, gym and ayurvedic massage centre.
Each evening Chokhi Dhani reverberates with sounds typically heard in a Rajasthani village fair with folk dancers, magicians, puppet artists and fortune tellers performing their arts for the guests. The village fair is recreated as an ongoing celebration of the of the rich and vibrant cultural heritage of Rajasthan.There are camel and bullock rides, fire dance, various rides, nag kanya, a lake for boating and many more things to enjoy along with typical Rajasthani food with a large variety served with such love and hospitality which you may not find any where else in the World.
